King Solomon's Dream Magic Window

This makes a great craft for the story of King Solomon's dream. You need to separate the 2 pictures to make it.

Run off the picture of Solomon sleeping in the bed on transparency film. The kids can color it with permanent markers if you want some color. There are 2 pictures per page to help save you supplies.  You can access the picture of Solomon sleeping and the dream bubble pictured below here.

Run off the dream portion on white or cream colored card-stock. You will need to cut both pages in half once you have printed them. Kids can color in the dream bubble if they like.

To make the magic window:

  1. Cut manilla file folders in half.
  2. Cut out a rectangular window in the front cover of the folder.
  3. Leave the back of the folder as is.
  4. Cut your transparency film in half - it should be about 8 1/2" x 5 1/2 " now.
  5. Cut your cardstock in hafl (8 1/2" x 5 1/2")
  6. Tape the right edges of the transparency and the card stock picture together.
  7. Slide the transparency into the window frame you made with the manila file folder. The card-stock picture should be behind the back of the folder, hidden until you begin to pull the picture out. You can see the technique demonstrated on the Bible Class Creations blog here.
Pictured below is a magic window for King Belshazzar and the writing on the wall. Here is the link for the templates and instructions for the Writing on the Wall craft.
