Last Christmas I made a tree of appreciation for all of our
Children’s Workers. I gave each volunteer a thank you note for their service
during the year, and invited them to choose a gift from the Christmas tree that
had been set up in the children’s area.
I bought see through gift bags at the Dollar Tree and filled
each one with stocking stuffer gifts. Avon has a lot of small products for $1
and less during this time of year. Bath and Body Works usually has some items
too. Of course, there is always candy for the guys and teens too. I bought
hand creams, hand sanitizers, chap sticks, bubble bath, travel size hair sprays and some snack items. I just learned that our local Tim Horton’s also gives out $2 gift certificates. You can buy a cup of coffee with that – so it makes another great gift bag stuffer if you have a lot of people to buy for.

I folded the tops of the bags down after filling them, secured
them with gold stickers, punched a hole in each top, threaded ribbon through the
holes and tied it so they could be hung on the tree.
